The Outdoor Research Expedition Crocodiles are gaiters made to function on extended mountaineering trips, in cold weather and difficult conditions. Constructed with Gore-Tex and Cordura, the Expedition Crocodiles gaiters are tough enough to stand up to even the harshest conditions. These OR gaiters are larger in circumference than the regular Crocodiles, giving you more room for plastic boots and insulated pants. The inside leg of each gaiter is made of durable Cordura fabric that resists crampon snagging. The urethane coated nylon instep strap secures these gaiters to your boots, and they're field replaceable for when accidents happen. The Outdoor Research Expedition Crocodiles are the Crocodiles you know and love, but with tougher skin.

Features:

• Crocs are extremely durable, adjustable, fitted gaiters intended for use in mountaineering, backcountry skiing, hiking, and backpacking. Use these gaiters when a lighter duty gaiter would simply be shredded after the first few trips.
• 2-inch wide Velcro® brand fasteners front closure

• Nylon-supported rubber instep strap
• Very durable strap material lasts longer than other materials used to secure gaiters. Buckle is positioned to the outside to reduce wear and catching on crampons.
• Six bar tacks at the point of attachment for maximum durability and strength.
• Strap is very wide at the point of attachment to aid in creating an excellent seal at the base of the gaiter, where the boot is concave and otherwise open to snow packing up into the ankle area.
• Small loop on the outside of the foot section keeps the end of the strap from flapping around.
• Asymmetrically cut bottom edge
• When instep strap is tightened, this shaping allows the gaiter to fit evenly around the boot, without gapping.
• 3/4-inch cam buckle and Nylon webbing at top
• The very low profile of this buckle makes it comfortable even when the gaiter is against bare skin when wearing shorts.
• Easy to open and close with bulky handwear.
• Never slips and won't let the top of the gaiter slip down the leg.
• 3/4-inch nylon webbing strap will not cut into the leg when tightened as narrower draw cords do.
• The gaiter tapers slightly at the ankle to give an even better form fit at the boot top and lower leg.
• Combined with the adjustability of the Velcro® brand fasteners closure, this helps the gaiter fit a wide assortment of leg sizes and clothing layers.

Men's Crocodiles®
