Good Features
Great little lamp with a burn time that can not be matched. Has three dimming setting. High is good for find your way to and fro from camp for late night bathroom runs. Medium is great for around camp and low is wonderful for in the tent. It also has a strobe signaler that you can can use to signal your buddies who weren't able to get on the trail until after dark.
The Headband is comfy and secure for all general purpose camping. I would not try to take this one caving though.

Good Features
great little headlamp - easy to switch modes (this is important, i have seen other headlamps that are annoying to use), stays at angle i want it, and is only 3 ounces.
nowadays there is probably something that will go brighter than the tikka, but for hiking on a trail or around camp it is perfect for me.
Bad Features
would be cool if it had one of those newfangled superbright/afterburner modes. |

Good Features
super light, tiny, bright, batteries last quite a while, uses AAA batteries, fairly idiot proof. Rugged as well. I have dropped mine onto rocks from about 15 feet and it worked fine.
Bad Features
when changing batteries sometimes it takes a bit of work to get it to close again, otherwise it will pop open and spill the batteries out or shutoff. |

A great minimalist headlamp. 1,000 hours of light. Very light.

The 4 LEDs are not going to provide as much light a halogen setup. |

Not a far shining beam, 5 or 6 yds is about it to still see any detail, if you want a big beam get a bigger lamp |
